Dark interiors aren’t just for hybernating in winter months – honest! The inky tentacles of dark interiors are reaching far and wide into the world of interiors this summer. Like the *LBD in fashion, accessorising with black in an interior decorating scheme – often acts as an anchor and adds more than just a little understated chic. Indigo and blush – Summer’s Preppy style interiors and fashion trend: Part two of two.

House and garden tour: Indigo Rye owner Karen Kennedy shows me round her inspiring Oxfordshire home

Well before the UK design community had reconsidered Moroccan pattern and encaustic tiles as desirable for the home, Karen Kennedy, owner of Indigo Rye had them up as the surround to her reception desk in her hairdressing salon. Outdoor baths: taking the ‘inside out’

There is a new interiors trend a-brewing in the UK which is much less hassle than a ‘basement dig’, less costly than a ‘bespoke wine cellar’ and although you won’t triple the value of your house, it is potentially a lot more fun …
