I have been a professional stylist for several years, starting my career at Country Living magazine and then as a Homes and Lifestyle Editor at the National Magazine Company before going freelance.
Most of my work as an interior stylist has been working on both editorial and advertising projects for clients such as Marie Claire, Homes and Gardens, The Sunday Times Style section, M&S, Laura Ashley, Mothercare, Tissus D’Helene and Sanderson. I have also enjoyed working on several books covering subjects from cookery to interiors and knitting.
I am a stylist who genuinely enjoys just about any aspect of interiors. Personally, I am not fixated on one particular style, I expect you could say my own home is ecclectic. I appreciate all styles from Scandinavian and White through to Industrial Artisan and beyond. I love the thrill of creating with originality, the best I possibly can for a client. I believe the work of a stylist is to be able to absorb many styles and then to be able to interpret them to brief with an image that might hopefully create a positive emotional response.
I was really pleased that my concept and styling won Best Print Advertisement for Sanderson’s 1950s collection of wallpaper and fabrics at the 2011 House Beautiful Awards.
