Nominated Best Interior Design blog

I am thrilled that the blog has been nominated for the prestigious Amara Interior Design Awards for the third year running, this time in the Best Interior Design category. The hosts for the awards night will be TV presenter and interior designer, Sophie Robinson with journalist Kate Watson-Smyth who writes the award winning Mad About The House blog. Voting has now opened so I would be most grateful if you and your dog (or any other pet that comes to hand) could please vote. Just press the voting button below for the blog to be shortlisted!

Thank you

In the meantime, I just want to say thank you so much for following the blog and for your support. It gives me a lot of joy to write it, especially because of the friendships and connections that are made along the way.

The image above is a collage by Lily Rossiter, a talented illustrator I came across whilst writing a post on Watlington Art Week. I love its quirkiness. In my opinion, it contains all that you might possibly require for a happy life. Wallpaper design, an elegant deep buttoned sofa (with e-s-s-e-n-t-i-a-l bobbin edge), cup of tea and a not insubstantial tower of cake.

Cut!

Finally, I also recently had the pleasure of being a creative matchmaker between two blog readers. A curtain maker and a film set designer who are now working together on a mind-blowingly complicated but exciting US-backed made for TV film series. I have heard mention of 47 pairs of 18th century ‘drapes’ and the clock is ticking …

With very best wishes, Charis x
